Initial Assessment
Thorough evaluation of your plumbing system and needs
Every kitchen and bathroom remodel runs through the plumbing. Where the sink sits, whether the shower moves, how a new island gets its drain — those are plumbing questions before they are design questions. At Gatica’s Construction and Remodeling, that work is part of the remodel itself, done by our own licensed crew under a single contract that also covers electrical, tile, waterproofing and general construction.
Because the same team handles the rough-in and the finish work, fixture placement follows your design instead of whatever the existing pipes happen to allow.

A: We handle it. Plumbing, electrical, tile and waterproofing are performed by our own licensed crew as part of the remodel, under one contract with one point of contact.
A: In most cases, yes. Relocating a fixture means rerouting supply and drain lines, which we plan during the design stage so the new layout works structurally and meets code.
A: Usually, once lines are moved, added or replaced. We pull the permits and carry the project through final inspection as part of the job, so nothing is left for you to close out.
A: Rough-in and fixture setting are built into the project schedule rather than added on top of it. Kitchens typically run 6 to 12 weeks and bathrooms 2 to 4 weeks, depending on scope.
A: It comes up often in older Bay Area homes. Once the walls are open we show you exactly what is there and walk through the options before any additional work goes ahead.
A: Costs vary depending on scope, materials, and layout. We provide a detailed written estimate after a free in-home consultation — no obligation.
We have been remodeling Bay Area kitchens and bathrooms since 1998, and we hold California Contractor License #1034375. Keeping the plumbing in house means the crew setting your shower valve is the same crew that framed the wall it sits in, working from the same plan and the same schedule.
Tell us what you have in mind for your kitchen or bathroom and we will walk the space with you. Every project begins with a free in-home consultation and a detailed written estimate, with no obligation.
